How to replace the Wiper Switch on 2004 Cadillac SRX?

You must disable sir before you replace the windshield washer switch. Detach both steering column trim covers and connect each steering column wiring harness tie strap to ease the replacement. Unplug the two electrical components number 1 and 3 from their locations on the windshield and washer switch. Press down on the locking button of the windshield wiper and washer switch to unlock it and then extract it from the steering column. Near the steering column, push the washer switch into place then join its electrical wires (1, 3). Route the electrical connector for the switch and connect it while fitting in the wiring harness tie straps and steering column trim covers. Finally, enable the sir system.
