Cycling and stroking the plunger of stationary hydraulic lash adjusters must always occur within their lower pressure chamber filled with oil. Add clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or equivalent through the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster while being careful not to damage the pivot sphere area in the Lash Adjuster. The next step involves the installation of new lash adjusters into the bores which is followed by reinstallation of the left valve rocker arms.
