To replace the right Lash Adjuster, remove the right valve rocker arms and the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from the bores; clean and examine the lash adjusters. It is essential not to have the stroke or cycling of the stationary hydraulic plunger without oil in the lower pressure chamber. Fill the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) with clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or equivalent while not scratching the area of the pivot sphere on the shla. Next, follow the installation of new shlas into the bores and finally install the right valve rocker arms.
