  A: Begin the Mass Air Flow Sensor replacement process by turning off the ignition then disconnecting the harness connector of the MAF sensor. You should hold the MAF sensor with caution to prevent drops that may lead to damage and also ensure to avoid both screen damage on the air inlet section and contact with the sensing elements. When installing the MAF sensor keep lubricants and solvents away from the sensing elements and apply a small amount of soap-based solution. To remove the air cleaner outlet duct connect to MAF sensor use clamp loosener and disconnect air cleaner cover from MAF sensor front by loosening hose clamp. When installing the MAF sensor make sure its flow arrows face away from the air cleaner direction. Use a hose clamp wrench to secure both the MAF sensor to air cleaner cover with 4 Nm 35 lb in torque then secure the air cleaner outlet duct to the MAF sensor with 4 Nm 35 lb in torque. Secure the air cleaner cover through its retainer clips before connecting the MAF sensor harness connector.
