How to replace the navigation antenna on 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier?

Begin replacement of the navigation antenna by removing the rear shelf trim panel as well as unfastening the rosebud retainers holding the global position sensor (GPS) antenna wire harness to both rear shelf and upper rear quarter panel. Disconnect the GPS antenna wire harness electric connection from the headliner wire harness before you remove a child tether attachment bolt from the GPS antenna bracket. Leverage the GPS antenna bracket away from the rear shelf at a 45-degree angle while pulling out the locating tabs from their slots for GPS antenna assembly removal from the shelf. Position the GPS antenna bracket at a 45-degree angle before installing the locating tabs into the rear shelf slots. Check that the child tether attachment and GPS bracket sit directly on the rear shelf then install the child tether attachment bolt securely at 28 N.m (20 lb ft). You should first attach the GPS antenna wire harness to the headliner wire harness followed by installing rosebud retainers for the GPS antenna wire harness on the rear shelf and upper rear quarter panel. Lastly, replace the rear shelf trim panel.
