  A: Before working on the Valve Stem Oil Seal and valve spring you need to take the Camshaft and Camshaft roller followers out. Install the valve spring compressor (J 43649) to the cylinder head then disconnect the spark plugs. Position the air hose adapter into the Spark Plug hole then pressurize each cylinder to 690 kpa using 100 psi air. First push down the spring before taking off the valve spring keepers and spring itself. You can remove the valve guides seal with the valve guide seal remover tool (J 36017). To install the new valve seal you must first place the valve guide seal remover (J 36017) tool in position then put in the valve spring afterward. Reposition the valve spring then add the valve spring keepers back in. Separate the Spark Plug hose and place the valve spring compressor (J 43649) back into its storage position while adding the spark plugs Camshaft roller followers and Camshaft.
