    A: To replace the Timing Chain and sprockets, one will need a set of tools that includes the following: pulley puller (J8433), crankshaft sprocket remover (J41558), crankshaft end protector (J41816-2), and Crankshaft balancer and sprocket installer (J41665). First, remove the Oil Pump and then remove the camshaft sprocket bolts and remove camshaft sprocket and Timing Chain. Use the pulley puller (J8433), crankshaft end protector (J41816-2) and Crankshaft sprocket remover (J41558) to remove the Crankshaft sprocket, and remove the Crankshaft sprocket key if required. Before continuing to install, clean and inspect the Timing Chain and sprockets. With the key out, insert the Crankshaft keyway, tap it until both ends are seated. Next install the crank shaft sprocket to the front of the crank shaft, having the crank shaft key register with the sprocket key way and fully seat the sprocket against the crank shaft flange using the crank shaft balancer and sprocket installer (J41665). Turn the Crankshaft sprocket so that the alignment mark is at 12 o'clock time, making sure that the sprocket teeth of the camshaft sprocket locate pin is aligned with the camshaft sprocket alignment hole and the sprocket teeth mate with the Timing Chain. It is important to ensure a seating position for the camshaft and Crankshaft sprocket marks correctly, making sure that the camshaft sprocket alignment marks are at the 6'clock position. Mount camshaft sprocket and Timing Chain, line up the Crankshaft or camshaft sprockets as required to match the timing marks. Last but not least install the bolts of the camshaft sprocket and tighten them up to 35 nm (26 ft. Lbs.) and re-install the Oil Pump.
