The first step for camshaft position (CMP) sensor replacement starts with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the Intake Manifold. Clean off the surroundings of the cmp to avoid debris while disconnecting the electrical connector of the cmp sensor. The first step is to remove the cmp sensor retaining bolt then extract the cmp sensor from its position. First install the new cmp sensor and fasten it with the securing bolt until it reaches 25 n.m of torque (18 lb ft). Connect the cmp sensor electrical connector after which you should place back the Intake Manifold before reattaching the negative Battery Cable. Close the procedure by configuring the transmitters when required.
