2003 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the camshaft position sensor on 2003 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: Service of the Camshaft Position Sensor starts with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable while following the battery disconnect caution. Service of the cmp sensor begins with disconnecting the electrical connector from the cmp sensor then removing the Intake Manifold before accessing the cmp sensor retaining bolt for removal. Before removing the cmp sensor it is necessary to clean the surrounding space because engine entry of debris must be prevented. Install the cmp sensor by putting it into its correct position then fasten it using a retaining bolt which needs to be tightened to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Connect the cmp sensor electrical connector before you put back the Intake Manifold and Battery Cable and re-engage the negative terminal. Complete programming of the transmitters ends the configuration process.
