    A: When replacing the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable before lifting the vehicle to remove the Starter. Remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor retaining bolt while disconnecting the sensor electrical connector. Clean the area around the sensor to avoid engine contamination by foreign debris. Next, remove the ckp sensor. Install the new ckp sensor then bolt it into place by tightening it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Following the same steps in reverse order from step 4 you should reconnect the ckp sensor electrical connector then reinstall the Starter along with lowering the vehicle before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable. The transmitter programming process needs completion while performing the ckp system variation learn procedure.
