How to replace the hood latch on 2004 Chevrolet Impala?

To install the hood latch, take out the upper radiator air baffle and support bracket and open the hood. Record the position of the contrivance that secures the latch, loosen the bolts and take off the release cable. Install the new latch, lock up, re-connect the support bracket and install the air baffle again.
