Proper fuel pressure relief procedure followed by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable forms the first step for replacing the malibu maxx Fuel Tank pressure sensor. Draining the Fuel Tank should be carried out following Fuel Tank draining procedure before you remove the Fuel Tank. Remove the Fuel Tank pressure sensor from the modular fuel sender by breaking the connection of the electrical connector from the sensor and then extracting the sensor from the same module. First put the new Fuel Tank pressure sensor onto the modular fuel sender then attach its electrical connector. Proceed to reinstall the Fuel Tank and then recharge it before connecting the negative Battery Cable.
