You should use a universal steering linkage puller (J 24319-B) to detach the tie rod from the Steering Knuckle followed by removing the lower Control Arm and the strut to Steering Knuckle nuts and bolts. Following this step, remove the Steering Knuckle from the automobile. Installation requires the Steering Knuckle attachment to both the strut assembly along with the abs harness bracket when present and securing all bolts and nuts at 120 nm (89 ft. Lbs.). Guide the axle through the Steering Knuckle before you install the outer tie rod with a 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) nut torque and afterward rotate the nut 180 degrees and check the torque reaches 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Close the installation process by attaching the Wheel Bearing and brake caliper along with brake rotor and front wheels before lowering the vehicle for a road test to check alignment and solve any detected lead or pull problems.
