How to replace the LH Blend Door Actuator on 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

In order to replace the left air temperature actuator, one needs to remove the left instrument panel (I/P) insulator and the knee bolster bracket. Remove the left air temperature actuator surround by unscrewing it from the mounting and disconnecting its electrical connector. For installation, locate the new left air temperature actuator, the slots in the electric actuator driver must be alligned to the flats on the shaft, and the locating hole must be aligned to the allignment pin on the HVAC module case. Push the actuator onto the shaft up until the actuator driver completely seats against the mounting holes of the HVAC module case and are flush with the mounting screws. Mount the screws and tighten them to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in) and reconnect the electrical connector to the actuator. Replace the knee bolster bracket and the left I/P insulator. Finally, calibrate the actuator.
