In order to install the rear disc brake backing plate, it is necessary to disable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Lift the car, take the tire off and unscrew the cable to the rear plate. Take off the park brake cable, rotor, axle shaft, park brake shoe and the backing plate nuts. Install new supporting plate, and reassemble parts.
