  A: The replacement of cruise control release switch starts with removing the left side instrument panel insulator first. The cruise control release switch needs counterclockwise rotation until it reaches a travel stop position at 60 degrees before it can be detached from its retainer and electrical connection removed. The installation requires connecting the electrical connector by placing its index notch at the 10 o'clock position followed by fitting the switch into the retainer without touching the Brake Pedal. Set the switch at maximum depression in front of the barrel before turning it clockwise to hit the travel stop where the electrical connector index notch points to the 12 o'clock mark. Check the cruise control function once installed and put back the left side insulator in the instrument panel.
