How to replace the front air bag sensor on 2004 GMC Safari?

In order to discontinue the inflatable restraint front end discriminating sensor, switch off SIR. Separate the harness connector, take off the sensor, and wipe the mounting area. Install the new sensor horizontally and make sure that it is installed correctly. Fasten it, and where there might be broken holes or fasteners, align them. Lastly, re-connect harness and activate SIR system.
