How to replace the front parking brake cable on 2004 GMC Savana 1500?

Starting the front park brake cable replacement requires the driver to release park brake first together with removing the park brake pedal. You should remove the carpet roll to see the cable anchor nut and grommet before taking out the cable anchor nut and pulling out the cable and grommet from floor space. Support the lifted vehicle to begin with while disconnecting the front cable from the intermediate cable. After this remove the cable from its frame bracket position using the retaining tabs. Begin new cable installation by fitting the cable first followed by retaining tab installation into the frame bracket. Run the front cable to the intermediate cable after which you should route it through the Floor Pan before engaging the grommet. The safety stands should be removed and the vehicle dropped before installing the cable anchor to the floor stud. Secure the anchor nut to 13 nm (115 inch lbs.) torque specification. Finish the repair by fitting the carpet layer and putting back the park brake pedal and performing required park brake system adjustments.
