    The first step for rear park brake cable replacement involves inserting the pin into the park brake pedal. The first step requires raising the vehicle and following with its appropriate support. Disconnect the front cable from rear cables by taking off the cable at the cable adjuster. First disconnect the rear brake shoes that attached to the backing plate. The park brake cable release tool (J 37043) enables removal of the rear cable from the vehicle after disconnecting it from the backing plate retainer. Begin installations by fitting the rear cable to the parked car and then attaching it to the backing plate retainer. The second step requires attachment of the rear brake shoes onto the backing plate followed by linking the front cable to rear cables. Wrong the park brake pedal pin and elevate the lever until it reaches the full point. Adjust the threads of the equalizer until they reach specific measurements which are 13 mm (0.511 inch) for passenger/cargo and 21 mm (0.826 inch) for cutaway/upfitters. The vehicle should stay at its lowered position when you depress the brake lever to check this. Additional adjustments should be done to reach the appropriate specifications.
