How to replace the front parking brake cable on 2010 GMC Savana 1500?

Start by releasing the park brake then removing the park brake pedal before beginning the replacement of the Parking Brake Front Cable. Access the cable anchor nut and grommet by removing the carpet roll-back. You can then unscrew the cable anchor nut. Lift the vehicle while you remove the cable and grommet which sit on the floor. Detach the front cable from the intermediate cable followed by cable removal from the frame bracket through retaining tab deployment. Begin installation processes with new cable assembly before placing retainer tabs into frame bracket slots. Guide the front cable through the floor pan to engage the grommet while connecting it to the intermediate cable. After removing safety stands lower the vehicle systematically. Secure the cable anchor around the floor stud then apply 13 Nm (115 lb in) of torque to the anchor nut. Put the carpet back into position while reinstalling the park brake pedal. Complete system adjustment of the park brake must be accomplished at this point.
