    A: Lift and stabilize the vehicle before you take off its tire and wheel as a first step to replace the rear Brake Disc jh9. Take care not to detach brake caliper guide pins unless replacement is unavoidable. Twist off the frame bolts connecting the brake caliper and bracket before carefully lifting out the unit while holding it secure with mechanics wire. The rear Axle Shaft and hub come out as one unit without needing to separate bearing or cup components unless replacement parts are needed. To handle the brake hub and disc unit efficiently detach it from the rear axle and mark the correct alignment between hub and disc. Use a hydraulic machine to push wheel studs out from their connection with the hub and disc assembly before taking apart the hub. Brush away all loose particles and rust deposits from both Brake Disc and rear axle hub surfaces. To install this unit place the hub on the Brake Disc and position the matchmarks correctly before driving wheel studs into both components using a hydraulic press. Clean the brake caliper bracket bolts and rear axle threads with denatured alcohol and let them dry for installation. Place threadlocker gm p/n 89021297 (Canadian P/N 10953488) onto two-thirds length of brake caliper bracket bolt and allow it to set up for about ten minutes. Place the brake caliper and bracket assembly to the rear axle and bolt it in position before tightening the bolts to 300 nm (221 lb ft). Verify the park brake setting then put on the tire and wheel parts. When replacing or resurfacing the Brake Disc you need to properly break in the new Brake Pad and disc pair.
