How to Replace the Rear Brake Disc Backing Plate Without NYS on 2004 GMC Sierra 1500?

For Brake Backing Plate replacement on 15 series vehicles without nys functionality the first step is to release the park brake then lift and support the vehicle. Take off the wheel tires and let all tension fade from the park brake cables by unscrewing the equalizer nut. Pull the cable through its slot by first pushing the locking tabs down then the spring to the lever to disconnect it from the backing plate. After unlatching all bolts on the rotor Axle Shaft park brake shoe and backing plate, detach the backing plate from the axle housing flange. Apply brake parts cleaner to backing plate bolts threads before attaching the new backing plate to the axle housing flange. Secure all bolts to 135 nm (100 ft. Lbs.) using threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488). Put back the park brake shoe and Axle Shaft before setting up the park brake shoe. Put on the rotor and link the Parking Brake Cable to its lever. When installing the cable into the backing plate follow these steps: step one, squeeze the spring and thread the cable toward the plate's slot. Finally push the cable fitting through until the locking tabs connect. Featner the intermediate cable nut at the equalizer to 3.5 nm (31 inch lbs.), put back the wheel and tire system, take off the safety stops, move the vehicle down, and adjust the park brake cable.
