  A: The replacement process of ABS Control Module requires the ignition switch to be set to off. The accelerator and cruise control cable needs to be disconnected from the accelerator control cable bracket before you remove the front fender upper diagonal brace. Next disconnect the Cruise Control Module from the left strut tower where the wiring does not need cable removal before positioning the module and cables beside each other. The procedure to remove the abs harness connector starts by unlocking the red locking tab from the connector lock tab and pressing down this tab and moving the sliding connector cover to its open position. Check for debris on the parts then meticulously separate the 4 abs to brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) retainers while avoiding both tool prying and damage to bpmv surface or solenoid valves. The correct opening force should be applied to detach the abs from the bpmv. You should mount the abs onto the bpmv before you apply 5 nm (44 inch lbs.) torque to tighten the 4 retainers.
