How to replace the brake master cylinder on 2005 Buick LaCrosse?

First disconnect the power connector from both the Brake Fluid Level Sensor and master cylinder brake pipes. The exposed brake pipes should receive rubber seals to protect the brake fluid system. Take out the master cylinder from the vehicle by removing its mounting nuts and drain all brake fluid from the reservoir. Before putting the master cylinder into the Brake Booster you need to bleed brake fluid from it at the workbench. Thread and secure both master cylinder mounting nuts to 33 nm (24 ft. Lbs. Torque). Position brake pipes directly on the master cylinder while tightening abs connections to 22 ft. Lbs. And non-abs connections to 20 ft. Lbs. Or 18 ft. Lbs. At the front and rear respectively. Replace the electrical connection with the Brake Fluid Level Sensor before completing the brake system purge.
