Start by removing the check to pillar fasteners together with the close-out grommet and check to door fasteners and finish by taking out the door check from inside the door. Installation requires users to insert the check into the door followed by passing the check studs through the available holes in the door inner panel while paying attention to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions. Fasten the check to door fasteners at 9 N.m (80 lb in) then mount the check arm on the door hinge pillar fasteners at 9 N.m (80 lb in). Reinstall the door components by putting back the close-out grommet then follows with water deflector and finally door module as well as door trim panel.
