How to replace the rear sway bar link on 2005 Buick Rainier?

The first step to replace a rear sway bar link requires supporting a raised vehicle. First detach the sway bar link retaining nuts before separating the sway bar link from the frame while avoiding link prying motions which could harm the boot. Any boot damage would result in additional problems. The sway bar link needs disconnecting first from both the sway bar before being completely removed. First install the link by attaching it between sway bar and frame then tighten the retaining nuts to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
