    Q:
How to replace the front suspension sway bar link on Buick Rainier? Posted by Customer
    A:
A mechanic needs to start Sway Bar Link replacement by raising and supporting the vehicle. First unfasten the link from the retaining nut on the lower Control Arm and from the sway bar retaining nut before uninstalling the link. Avoid prying the Sway Bar Link to protect the boot from damage since such damage will create additional complications. The installation requires you to join the Sway Bar Link to the lower Control Arm before tightening the lower Control Arm retaining nut. Lay the Sway Bar Link across the sway bar before fastening it with the sway bar retaining nut and tightening both nuts to 155 nm (114 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.

    Q:
How to replace the rear suspension sway bar link on GMC Envoy? Posted by Customer
    A:
Raising and supporting the vehicle with the rear axle at ride height should be your first step before replacing the Sway Bar Link in the rear suspension. Use the hex feature of the sway bar stud end to hold and install the link because touching the link near the boot could lead to boot damage. Conclude the Sway Bar Link replacement by unfastening both upper (N/A) and lower (N/A) nuts before extracting the link from the chassis. The hex feature section on the new Sway Bar Link should be used to install it in its place to prevent damage to the boot. Mount the Sway Bar Link's nuts starting with the lower one at 44 nm (32 ft. Lbs.) and then the upper one at 44 nm (32 ft. Lbs.). Lower the vehicle before eliminating the axle support.
