    A: When replacing the battery negative cable, the first thing you have to do is disconnect the battery from the battery ground (negative cable from the battery and the battery (ground negative cable bolt) from the core support. Lift the vehicle and then remove the lower radiator baffle and the battery cable conduit from the conduit retainers, then the battery cable from the conduit. Then, unscrew the battery ground (negative) cable nut and cable from the transaxle stud before lowering the vehicle and the removal of battery ground (negative) cable from the vehicle. For installation, first connect the battery ground (negative) cable to the vehicle and elevate it again. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable and nut to the transaxle stud and fasten the nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Mount the battery cable to the conduit; next, the battery cable conduit to the conduit retainers; and lastly the lower radiator baffle. Lower the vehicle and install the battery ground (negative) cable were bolted to the inner fender secures with the bolt, tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in), then connect the battery ground (negative) cable to the battery.
