Separate the starter bat terminal nut and detach the positive Battery Cable from the bat terminal of the starter before lowering the vehicle to remove the Battery Cable from its installation. Secure the battery positive cable along with nut at the starter motor bat terminal while tightening the nut to 10 n.m (89 lb in). Install the battery positive cable to the conduit before tightly mounting the Battery Cable conduit to conduit retainers followed by installation of the lower radiator baffle. Lower the vehicle before connecting the battery positive cable to the generator and afterward install it on the underhood electrical center with a tight 10 n.m (89 lb in) torque. Use the bolt to connect the battery positive cable on the battery post before securing it with 16 n.m (12 lb ft) torque then reinstall the battery ground (negative) cable.
