The replacement of exhaust crossover pipe (LA1) requires users to disconnect the Battery Cable and remove the throttle body duct and drain coolant from the cooling system. The first step involves removing the engine inlet Radiator Hose and then the thermostat bypass pipe. Start by unboltting and removing the exhaust crossover heat shield followed by its heat shield. Then remove the studs/nuts joined to exhaust crossover pipe to remove it. Install the exhaust crossover pipe first installing its studs/nuts with torque to 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). You need to install the exhaust crossover heat shield after which install bolts following a torque of 10 nm. Install the bypass pipe into the thermostat alongside the engine inlet Radiator Hose followed by engine coolant fill-up before putting back the throttle body air inlet duct and finishing with battery ground connection.
