  A: To replace the Throttle Cable, start with dejection of the throttle cable shield if equipped with one. Remove the throttle cable from the throttle body lever and throttle cable bracket, and then remove the left instrument panel sound insulator. Next, pull the throttle cable from the accelerator pedal by disconnecting the throttle cable from the accelerator pedal, squeeze throttle cable cover tangs and push the throttle cable through bulkhead to take out the throttle cable from the vehicle noting the routing of the cable for installation. For installation, reroute the new throttle cable as mentioned in removal with the flexible components not routed within 50mm (2 in.) from moving parts unless isolated to prevent interference and damage. Install the snap retainer through the bulkhead, run the throttle cable through slot in the accelerator pedal lever, and seat the snap retainer in the accelerator pedal lever. Fasten the throttle cable to the throttle body lever and the throttle cable bracket and, if present, reinstall throttle cable shield. Lastly, inspect the entire positions of throttle opening and closing, do it by stepping on the accelerator pedal, and inspect faulty carpet fitting under the accelerator pedal on re-installation of the left instrument panel sound insulator.
