After protection of txv openings with tape or caps you should remove the evaporator inlet tube to condenser bolt and evaporator inlet tube from condenser while discarding the sealing washer and capping condenser opening. You must start by detaching the electrical connector from the bracket followed by removal of the evaporator inlet/outlet tube bracket bolt and the evaporator inlet/outlet tube clip to shock tower nut to complete the assembly removal process. You should install the evaporator outlet tube on the inlet tube then reinstall the inlet/outlet tube assembly by fastening the clip onto shock tower nut with 5.5 n.m (49 lb in) torque. Securely fasten the evaporator inlet tube on the condenser with bolt at 16 n.m using a new sealing washer and remove the tape or cap from condenser opening. Screw the evaporator inlet/outlet tube bracket bolt to 27 n.m (20 lb ft) then restore electrical connection to its bracket. The technician should position the new sealing washers at the txv openings on the inlet/outlet tube before removing protective caps from both locations and mounting the txv assembly block to the valve. Then tighten the block nut to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). New sealing washers should go onto the suction line before the suction line attaches to the evaporator outlet tube by using bolt at 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Evacuation and recharging of the a/c system needs to be completed before reinstalling the air cleaner assembly.
