Buick Terraza A/C Hose Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to Replace the A/C Hose with RPO Code C60 Compressor for Suction Hose on Buick Terraza?
A: Use the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) to perform leaking tests on a/c components following the procedure completion when you replace the suction hose with rpo code c60 compressor. First recover all refrigerant from the a/c system before immediately applying caps or tape to open a/c components to stop contamination. Cut the bolt connecting the suction hose to the a/c evaporator tube and launch the suction hose from the tube before discarding the washer seal. Begin by disconnecting the A/C Compressor electrical connector along with the suction hose to A/C Compressor nut and then detach the suction hose from the A/C Compressor while discarding both sealing washers from their respective places and capping off the suction port on the A/C Compressor. Connect a new sealing washer to the suction hose end addressing the A/C Compressor and remove protective tape or cap from the suction port before placing the hose to the A/C Compressor while tightening the nut to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). First place a new sealing washer at the evaporator tube end then remove the cap or tape from the evaporator tube and attach the suction hose to the a/c evaporator tube by securing it with bolt tightened to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). To finish the process hook up the A/C Compressor electrical connector while performing a/c system evacuation and recharging followed by using the halogen leak detector (J 39400-A) for fitting leak tests.
