A: To remove the engine front cover, you should first take off the engine cover, remove the upper Intake Manifold as well as lower intake mantle, the camshaft covers last must be removed first. Empty the engine coolant and do away with the purge vent hose from the water outlet. Remove the water outlet, together with the Radiator Hose, and place these aside. Subsequently, remove the accessory drive belts, the A/C Compressor, and the power steering belt tensioner. Remove the generator bracket while having the generator and belt tensioner attached but do not disconnect power steering pipes, drain the fluid. Reposition the power steering fluid reservoir for access, then remove the Power Steering Pump pulley, the upper front bolt of the Power Steering Pump, then loosen the remaining two bolts. Remove the crankshaft balancer, camshaft and position sensors, and camshaft position actuator solenoid valves from the cover facing the front. Before separating the front cover with the engine block, there are 22 m8 bolts that need to be removed together with 3 m12 bolt, optional bolts. Take off the engine front cover with the water pump and, if necessary, deconstruct it, being careful not to use sharp or metal gasket scrapers to seal surfaces. Take good care of the sealing surfaces and put a piece of cardboard between the oil pan front and the Oil Pump to keep the contaminants out from the oil pan. Take out the leftovers of engine coolant from the cooling passages and at the top of the oil pan scraper using compressed air. You will require it for installation, assembling the engine front cover if needed and using the en 46109 engine front cover installation guide pins (EN 46109) in installing the engine front cover. Install the camshafts position actuator solenoid valves, camshaft position sensors, crankshaft balancer, power steering pump, command steering pump pulley and power steering fluid reservoir. Realign the generator bracket with a generator and the belt tensioner, next to the A/C Compressor and power steering belt tensioner, and finally align the accessory drive belts. Install the water outlet and reconnect the purge vent hose and fill the cooling system. The next step in the process is to install camshaft covers, upper Intake Manifold with the lower Intake Manifold, and the engine cover, then as another fill of the cooling system.
