  A: For servicing and repairing the Brake Disc, one needs the following tools: there are others such as j 41013 rotor resurfacing kit (J 41013), j 42450-a wheel hub resurfacing kit (J 42450-A), j 42501 Brake Pad set padmk9 (NTNL) 5, j 42505 Brake Pad coupler & shims set, and many other equipment and tools for disc and hub grinding. The disc brake discs are not refinished as a component of routine brake system service since new disc brake discs are not refinished, either. Refinishing should not be done to address the problems of brake system noise, uneven or premature disc Brake Pad wear, superficial corrosion, and scoring below the maximum allowable specification. When refinishing begins, the disc will be inspected to ascertain that it is of the right thickness to ensure it remains above the minimum thickness after refinishing. Refinishing is justified in cases where there is an excessive thickness variation or corrosion, pitting, cracks, heat spots, blueing discoloration or scoring in excess of the maximum allowable specification. To complete a non-directional finish, follow the recommended speed settings and apply the finish using 120 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper or 150 grit aluminum oxide sandpaper and a sanding block and then clean off the ride with denatured alcohol or appropriate brake cleaner. Finally, gather the assembled lro to verify for specs; if the specification is exceeded, correct it.
