  A: To change the intermediate brake hose assembly, one will first need to lift and support the vehicle and remove the right rear tire and wheel assembly. Clean the brake hose and brake pipe fittings, and cover or plug the exposed brake pipe fitting to reduce the loss of fluid or contamination. Pull the crossover brake pipe fitting off the intermediate brake hose assembly and put a cap on the fitting end. Pull the retaining clip over the brake hose and slide a flat-bladed tool between the brake hose retainer and rear frame assembly to remove the retainer. Muffle the brake pressure modulator valve (BMPV) brake pipe fittings from the intermediate brake hose assembly and the cap the ending of the fittings. Unscrew the brake hose to caliper bolt from brake caliper and remove the brake hose from the caliper. Run a shop towel across a hard surface and tap the threaded end of the brake hose to caliper bolt onto the towel to strike out the gasket, then throw the two lug copper brake hose gaskets in the trash, then the two lug copper brake hose gaskets out. Take out the intermediate brake hose assembly nuts from the studs, and remove the intermediate brake hose assembly from the vehicle. For installation, avoid twisting or bending the brake hose after which the intermediate brake hose assembly is mounted in the mounting studs and fastened onto the mounting nuts which are tightened to the extent of 14 nm (10 ft. Lbs.). I remove the caps from the (BPMV) to intermediate brake pipe and connect them to the intermediate brake hose assy. Disconnect the rubber plug of the brake hose to caliper bolt hole of the brake caliper and then put in place new copper brake hose gaskets and assemble the brake hose, gaskets to the caliper and bolt on . Mount the brake hose to caliper bolt to the brake caliper and fasten it with 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Take out the rubber cover from the end of the crossover brake pipe and then attach the brake hose retainer to the rear frame assembly using a flat-bladed tool. Join the crossover brake pipe fitting to the intermediate brake hose assembly and tighten to 18 nm(13 ft. Lbs.). Finally, bleed all the hydraulic brake system, install the tire/wheel assembly and lower the vehicle.
