How to replace the rear brake line on Cadillac SRX?

Lift the vehicle using appropriate methods before starting work. First unscrew the tire and wheel while opening the rear wheelhouse panel. Disconnect the brake pipe fitting from the rear brake hose and take off its bolt while removing the rear brake hose retaining clip. Get rid of both brake hose fitting gaskets because they must not be used again. To attach the new brake hose fitting bolt you need to put on 2 tight new gaskets before connecting them with the brake hose fitting. Complete installation when you place the brake hose on the brake caliper by tightening the brake hose bolt to 40 nm (30 lb ft). Set the brake hose in its bracket then add the rear brake hose retaining clip before joining the brake pipe fitting to the hose and tightening it to 19 nm (14 lb ft). Replace the back wheelhouse panel and put new fluid through the brake lines before fitting the tire and wheel.
