The ignition should be set to off and the vehicle needs support before proceeding. When your vehicle has awd then lower the rear suspension support at a height between 152-254 mm (6-10 in) before accessing the cable connectors. The electronic parking brake control module receives its parking brake intermediate cable through the cable nut counterclockwise rotation. Then disconnect the left parking brake rear cable fitting from the park brake cable as well as the right parking brake rear cable fitting . Uninstall the parking brake intermediate cable clip bolt before proceeding to take out the parking brake intermediate cable. Installation starts with to installation the parking brake intermediate cable and to follow all fastener safety caution. Fasten the parking brake intermediate cable clip bolt by tightening it to a torque of 17 nm (13 lb ft).
