    Q: How to replace the front brake caliper bracket on Cadillac SRX?
    A: Start by lifting and stable the vehicle before taking off the tire and wheel parts. Use only hand tools to unscrew brake caliper guide pin bolts as you secure the guide pin with an open end wrench and keep the brake caliper away from contact to prevent brake wheel pulsation. Keep the brake caliper safe with heavy mechanic wire to shield the hydraulic brake hose from breaking. Take the brake caliper away by first disconnecting the bolt-free hose fitting but not the hose itself. Unbolt and remove the Brake Pads as well as Brake Caliper Bracket . Afterward loosen the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and take out the bracket. After installing the Brake Caliper Bracket thread bolt and threaded hole with denatured alcohol apply threadlocker to 2/3 thread length of bolts then wait the recommended curing time of 10 minutes. Locate the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and thread them in to 110 nm (81 lb ft) of torque. Insert Brake Pad shims at first before placing the inner Brake Pad on top of the shims and the outer Brake Pad on top of the inner one. Position the brake caliper onto its designated bracket. Hold the brake caliper guide pins still using a back up wrench as you put in and tighten the brake caliper guide pin bolts to 60 nm (44 lb ft). Reattach the wheel and tire components at the end.
