  A: Before handling the vehicle make sure to achieve full braking power to avoid injuries. Take off the brake caliper from its bracket and support it with strong mechanic wire to protect the hydraulic flex hose. Take off the Brake Pad assembly from the Brake Caliper Bracket before removing related Brake Pad retainers and guide pins alongside brake caliper pin boots. Afterward unfasten the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and detach the unit from the knuckle. Test the Brake Caliper Bracket for structural problems and replace it when found. Install the Brake Caliper Bracket to knuckle by first applying gm p/n threadlocker 12345493 to both 1/3 and 2/3 of lower caliper bracket bolt threads. Space the two Brake Caliper Bracket bolts at 130 n.m (96 lb ft) after the threadlocker fully cures within 10 minutes. Install caliper guide pins one by one after dropping them into the guide pin boots completely and positioning them correctly in their designed holder. Next place Brake Pad retainers and brake pads onto the Brake Caliper Bracket before fixing the brake caliper into place on the front caliper bracket.
