How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket on 2009 Cadillac SRX?

When changing the Brake Caliper Bracket you need to use mechanic's wire to hold it up and secure the brake caliper properly. Then remove the assembly from the bracket. First you dislocate the brake pads and bracket retainers from the brake caliper mount then unfasten its bolts to take away the rear Brake Caliper Bracket. Look over brake hardware and inspect the Brake Caliper Bracket for damages or cracks then replace it when necessary. Apply thread compound gm p/n 12345493 to 2/3 of the lower caliper bracket bolt threads before inserting them into the knuckle mounting holes. Use the threadlocker as per the label instructions. After waiting 10 minutes install the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts and tighten them to 120 nm and 88 lb ft respectively. Attach both Brake Pad retainers and pads to the Brake Caliper Bracket as you reseat the brake caliper.
