How to replace the front brake line on 2010 Cadillac SRX?

Start brake hose replacement by placing the vehicle on jack stands at the right height. Take off both tire and wheel parts from their position. Take off the front brake hose seal by detaching the brake pipe fitting from the front brake hose. Then loosen the front brake hose retaining clip and brake hose fitting bolt. The brake hose fitting gaskets used in this procedure must be disposed of since you should not reuse them. Add the brake hose fitting bolt alongside its gaskets to the brake hose fitting. Secure the brake hose fitting bolt to 40 nm (30 lb ft) torque values as you attach the brake hose assembly to the brake caliper. Fasten the front brake hose where it belongs on the bracket then put on the retaining clip. Fit the brake pipe to the front brake hose at 19 nm (14 lb ft) torque. You should now complete the brake system test and restore the tire and wheel unit to its proper place.
