The replacement process starts with the electronic park brake cable tension must be released in order to begin. Support the vehicle by raising it while you detach both tire and wheel assembly. You need to remove first the brake hose fitting bolt then the fittings and brake hose before discarding the gaskets. Use hand tools for brake caliper guide pin bolt removal but maintain guide pin position using a back up wrench before removing the brake caliper . During brake caliper installation maintain guide pin stability using a wrench while torquing guide pin bolts to 60 nm (44 lb ft). Latch the brake hose fitting bolt onto the brake hose using two new gaskets but only to a torque of 40 nm (30 lb ft). The system requires a hydraulic brake bleed before reattaching the wheel and tire assembly. Apply the brake pedal gently after turning off the engine until it reaches about 2/3 of its total distance before slowly releasing it. Repeat this procedure until firm brake pedal sensation is attained. Set the electronic park brake cable tension while also filling the brake master cylinder reservoir to proper specifications.
