How to replace the auxiliary evaporator A/C hose on 2005 Chevrolet Astro?

Vehicle elevation and support must follow refrigerant evacuation before starting the replacement process. Start by disconnecting the auxiliary evaporator side inlet tube from its rear pipe as well as the O-ring until you complete removal of the tube from its front pipe with its seal. The bolts securing clips that fit the auxiliary side inlet tube to the body must be extracted before removing the tube completely from the vehicle. Position the auxiliary evaporator side inlet tube inside the vehicle first then install bolts onto body clips which must be tightened to 4 N.m (35 lb in). The installation process requires a new O-ring seal combined with tight connection between the auxiliary evaporator side inlet tube and front inlet tube through a 27 N.m (20 lb ft) nut torque. A thin layer of refrigerant oil should be applied to the new O-ring seal before installing the auxiliary evaporator side inlet tube to the auxiliary evaporator rear tube and tightening to 27 N.m (20 lb ft). To complete the procedure the vehicle should be lowered while also evacuating the system then recharging it followed by fittings leak testing through the Halogen Leak Detector (J 39400-A).
