    A: One must begin the front door Window Regulator replacement by obtaining a heavy duty rivet gun (M 39010). Start by taking out the trim panel then unfasten the bolts which connect the inner panel upper bar. Before proceeding remove the water deflector while using a soft-faced scraper to assist the removal process unless another method is possible. Use the window as a base to secure the door position with cloth-backed body tape into place before removing the regulator. The power Window Regulator motor wiring harness should be disconnected when it exists. A 6 mm (1/4 in) drill bit should be used to drill away the Window Regulator rivets heads. Insert the regulator into the door while sliding it forward and then back to detach the power Window Regulator arms from the sash and regulator rail. Once the arms are folded together you can pull out the regulator through the access hole. One should insert the new regulator through the access hole of the door so the arm rollers correctly position themselves in the sash and regulator rail before holes on both components match up. The heavy duty rivet gun (M 39010) should be used to assemble rivets onto the Window Regulator before connecting the wiring harness to the power Window Regulator if present and installing the water deflector. Secure the upper bar of the inner panel by using bolts which should be tightened to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). The last step includes the removal of tape on the window while testing its functionality before reattaching the trim panel.
