How to replace the intermediate steering shaft on 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt?

In order to change the in-between steering shaft, lift the vehicle and take off the left front tire. Unscrew the steering gear out of the middle shaft and label the point of connection then loosen the pinch bolt. Fit the new shaft, making sure that it aligns correctly, and screw the pinch bolts. Lastly, steering wheel alignment.
