2005 Chevrolet Corvette Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace the Body Control Module on 2005 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: You must turn off the ignition before starting bcm replacement because electrostatic discharge can damage electronics. Also keep away from bcm circuit board components when possible including solder points and connector pins. Keep ignition off during Battery Cable, jumper cable, bcm connector, and fusework operations. To get to the Body Control Module use footspace to fold the passenger carpet back then lift the bcm upward to unhook the bottom bracket before removing it from its location. Take out the bcm by disjoining its harness connectors. Orderly install the bcm while the vehicle system is off by first installing the top brackets to the slots of the mounting base before inserting the lower tab to secure the unit in place. Reinstall the carpet after setting the new or replacement bcm correctly into the vehicle.
