How to replace the center exhaust pipe on 2005 Chevrolet Corvette?

First raise and support the vehicle with adjustable jack stands positioned at front and rear sections of the intermediate pipe. The exhaust Muffler clamps (2, 5) need loosening before removing the left and right mufflers from the intermediate pipe. Proceed by removing the lower bolts of the Exhaust Pipe hanger while taking off the exhaust manifold nuts and extracting the exhaust seal. Move the jack stands down while taking out the intermediate pipe from its position. To reinstall the original intermediate pipe requires installing marked new band clips after unwelding the original clips and adding the correct positioning markings. Clear the contact surface between intermediate pipes and left and right mufflers using a wire brush before adding a tiny amount of lubricant to all involved parts. Set the intermediate pipe onto the jack stands and raise it before installing it. The exhaust seal must be installed before securing the intermediate pipe to left and right mufflers using hand-tightening retaining nuts to achieve correct positioning in the final assembly stage. Remove adjustable jack stands then apply torque to exhaust Muffler clamps to 44 nm (32 ft. Lbs.) and exhaust clamps bolts to the same specification. The technician applies torque of 20 nm (15 ft. Lbs.) to exhaust manifold nuts while tightening lower Exhaust Pipe hanger bolts to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
