How to replace the center exhaust pipe on 2006 Chevrolet Corvette?

Securely support the vehicle and then position adjustable jack stands underneath the front and rear points of the intermediate pipe. Use tools to disconnect (2, 5) the band clamps securing exhaust mufflers and free the intermediate pipe from both left and right mufflers. Begin the replacement by taking out the Exhaust Pipe hanger lower bolts and exhaust manifold nuts as well as the exhaust seal. The intermediate pipe must be lowered off its position from the jack stands. In case you reinstall your original intermediate pipe you should first mark the band clips positions before grinding off the welds to install new clips according to the marked guidelines. A small amount of lubricant should be applied to the intermediate pipes and left and right mufflers after cleaning their contact surfaces using a wire brush.
