How to replace the power mirror switch on 2005 Chevrolet Impala?

The process of replacing a power mirror switch starts by removing the front door pull cup attached to the front door inner trim panel in an Impala. Following connector disconnection from the power mirror switch, a small flat-bladed tool at the side of the switch will unlock the retainer before pulling out the switch from the front door pull cup. The new power mirror switch requires you to firmly insert it into the front door pull cup before connecting all electrical connectors followed by attaching the front door pull cup onto the front door trim panel.
